thanks for answering. Would be great to have a simpler solution in the future. right now i take the file-search function to solve the issue.
perhaps, in the meantime, it would be a nice bonus if you would ship the files like you dit and add some zip-files with pure importdata for a quick import. just a suggestion.

The reason for the folder structure is that each folder represents an individual product. With the Cold Storage presets, I placed each emulation into their own folder to separate them, as some of my early testers vocalized a preference for that.

I know it can be confusing, but we are trying to get this all cleaned up with our XeL and CPP preset platforms. I'm glad you got everything working, but we offer a lot of presets in the big box. Without the folders it gets quite muddled.

If Lightroom offered nested folders for presets this would not be an issue, but for now we are stuck with one level of folders.

Dear x-equals,
first of all: your bigbox is great! But importing the settings is a little complicated because of the folder structure of your bundle. Or did I miss something? The way you delivered the presets you have to import one after the ohter. My workaround on the pc was, that i used the *.lrtemplate-search function to get rid of the folder structure. Than copied all files in a new folder and imported all of them with one import-order. Is this the way you have to do it or is there a better way?

I've been scouring the web for info on Ektar and of course, I found some of the best information here. I'm looking forward to shooting my first 5 rolls of Ektar at the end of the month. Hopefully they turn out awesome.

Sorry to hear about the issues. Did you catch this at the time you got the previews online and address it with ScanCafe at that time before completing your order?

ScanCafe did an amazingly bad scan job.
Out of focus, poor exposure, stretched in one axis.
But worst of all, my slides came back scrambled out of order,
which has taken many hours to repair

Exactly. I admit, shooting weddings and portraits I rely a lot on my digital gear, but rarely do I find a situation that I find digital superior to the right film and the right lens.

When it comes to point and shoots I never find a time when digital is superior. But that's just me.

Michael, this is a great post, and I couldn't agree with you more. While I did pay more than five bucks for my Contax T2 it is hands down the best point and shoot I own.

I think most people will be really surprised by what the right film in the right camera will do.
